We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that we reasonably believe are being operated by someone other than the registered user.
AURUM is a merit-based achievement platform. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
All content you post must be lawful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and must not violate the rights of third parties. AURUM does not permit adult content, graphic violence, hate speech, or politically inflammatory content on the Platform.
The Proof of Stake system requires users to lock a monetary deposit to back achievement claims posted to The Ledger:
The Proof of Stake system is a fraud-deterrence mechanism. It is not a bet, wager, or gambling activity. Staked funds are returned upon legitimate verified achievement, not upon a probabilistic outcome.
IMPORTANT: Drop Circle challenges are skill-based, achievement-verified competitions. They are not games of chance, lotteries, or gambling. Winners are determined exclusively by verifiable, measurable performance outcomes — not by random draw, luck, or any probabilistic mechanism.
Charity Brawl challenges direct prize pools to a designated charitable cause. In this format, the Platform collects a hosting fee, and the winner receives the #1 leaderboard position for 30 days. Participants in Charity Brawl challenges acknowledge that their contribution is effectively a charitable donation with an associated hosting fee.
By entering a challenge, you represent that you will compete in good faith, submit only genuine and verifiable proof of achievement, and accept the outcome determination made by AURUM's moderation team as final.
All payments on the Platform are processed through third-party payment processors, including Stripe and Paystack. By making any payment on the Platform, you agree to the terms of service of the applicable payment processor. AURUM does not store your full payment card details.
Challenge pool funds and staked amounts are held in escrow through The Treasury, a secure escrow structure managed via our payment processor infrastructure. Funds are released only upon verified challenge completion or stake resolution. AURUM does not commingle Treasury funds with operating funds.
Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly billing cycle. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time.
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Tips sent to other members are final and non-reversible. Disputed Proof of Stake or challenge entries are subject to AURUM's moderation process, and any refund determination is made solely at AURUM's discretion.
You are solely responsible for determining and satisfying any tax obligations arising from your use of the Platform, including income taxes on tips received, challenge winnings, or any other monetary benefits received through AURUM.
AURUM offers three membership tiers: Explorer (free), Contender (Pro, $29/month), and Sovereign ($99/month). Features available at each tier are described on the Platform and may change with reasonable notice. AURUM reserves the right to modify tier pricing or included features upon 30 days' written notice to subscribers. Downgrading your tier takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
All content, design, trademarks, logos, and technology on the Platform are the property of AURUM or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.
By posting content to the Platform, you grant AURUM a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with Platform operations and marketing activities.
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully before using the Platform.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@tryaurum.store. Upon account closure, your profile will be removed from the public leaderboard. Any outstanding Treasury-held funds will be resolved per applicable challenge or stake rules before account deletion is finalized.
AURUM may suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if you:
Upon termination for cause, any outstanding staked or challenge funds may be forfeited. AURUM's determination of termination grounds is final.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. AURUM DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Nothing on the Platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Achievement posts, challenge results, and leaderboard rankings are user-generated content and do not represent endorsements or recommendations by AURUM.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AURUM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF AURUM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL AURUM'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AURUM IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AURUM, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) content you submit to the Platform; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact AURUM at support@tryaurum.store and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. Small claims court actions within applicable jurisdictional limits are also excluded from this arbitration requirement.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
AURUM reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms to the Platform and, where possible, notifying registered users by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
